How can I edit my pitches?
To edit a pitch, click Ideas on the left sidebar and choose In Review at the top of the page. You can then click on the pitch card you’d like to change, and click Edit on the bottom right.
You will not be able to edit at pitch if:
- The brand accepts your pitch. When a brand accepts your content idea, it will be put in progress in the In-Progress Tab (find this by clicking Assignments on the left sidebar). At this point, if any changes were to be made in the pitch, they will need to be discussed via the assignment thread with the client (more on this late)
- The brand comments on your pitch. You’ll be able to see a message and can then respond in the pitch message thread, however, you will not be able to change the body of the pitch at this point. No worries, all conversation that happens in that thread will carry over to the assignment once the brand has accepts the idea and places it in progress.
- The brand saves your pitch. In this scenario, you’ll receive a (platform) notification. This will let you know the brand is interested but isn’t ready to pull the trigger (yet).
If none of the above scenarios above happen, the pitch will auto-expire in 30 days. When this happens, the content idea will be sent back to you so you can do what you see fit. This is typically when a writer will edit the content idea and send it to another brand as a direct pitch or to every company that has an industry pitch.
To find your expired pitches, click on Ideas on the left sidebar and Expired on the top of the screen.
